Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25, 1970) is an American former tight end in the NFL. Gonzalez was a player in the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. One of America's top tight ends ever and is the holder of an NFL record for the most receiving yards of all tight ends. Gonzalez is also ranked as the third-highest player in terms of number of receiving yards.
Tony Gonzalez is currently a FOX studio analyst. Gonzalez, who has been with FOX NFL KICKOFF since the last year, hosts the host for the show. The show airs on Sunday at 11:15 am ET before FOX NFL SUNDAY.
Gonzalez's assertion that he would retire from the NFL following 2013 is not the case. On the 15th of March 2013 Gonzalez agreed to sign with the Falcons an agreement for two years worth 14 million dollars. Following the retirement of Randy Moss, 37-year-old Gonzalez was the leader of the NFL's active players in receiving yards.
